Examination and Imaging
Could your nose or sinuses be obstructing your breathing at night? Your nose, throat and tongue are the primary physical structures that may prevent you from breathing properly. Working with Board Certified Radiologists helps provide answers to these questions.
Do you need to know what’s going on?
Dental Appliances
Working with a physician, we may suggest a dental appliance to manage Snoring and/or Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Many people diagnosed with sleep apnea are simply not able to use the CPAP machine and are not receiving treatment. Oral Appliances are now proven alternative.
Do you want an effective, practical and easy to live with alternative to CPAP?
Tension Type Headaches
Chronic Headaches are common, yet they often go untreated unless by medication. Chronic Headaches significantly alter the sufferer’s Quality of Life yet may be due to head and/or jaw muscle imbalance.. After an adequate diagnosis, we may be able to provide a non-pharmaceutical solution to help you enjoy your day pain free.
Do you need a break from chronic head, neck and sholuder pain.
Bruxism (Tooth grinding)
Tooth grinding (bruxism) is a serious dental problem in our society and is often responsible in aging our smiles, breaking our expensive dental work, causing recession, TMD and even cracking or splitting teeth. The wear is often progressive and may result in the need for yet more expensive dental work (which may break down again!). Unfortunately, some protective ‘night guards’ can do more harm than good - aggravating pre-existing OSA. Ask us what would be best for you and why.
CPAP Alternatives
Bray always advises patients to consult their doctor first to determine whether oral appliance therapy is the right choice. If it is, Dr. Bray can coordinate with your doctor to provide a custom-fitted oral appliance.
While no treatment is ideal for everyone, oral appliance therapy may not be suitable for everyone either, but for many, it can be a comfortable and effective alternative to CPAP, the difference between treatment and no treatment.
According to Canadian Respiratory Guidelines. Oral appliances are an appropriate alternative therapy for patients who are unable to tolerate CPAP.
